Feeding The Fourth

Nourishment is so important in the fourth trimester. It aids in the healing, replenishment and our overall health and wellbeing following pregnancy and birth. Courtney and Sarah have created delicious, nutrient dense and easy to digest meals that will support your postpartum recovery. If you would like to find out more please continue to read below about their offering, and if you engage in my Doula services they have generously offered my clients a discount code.

You can order directly through their website www.feedingthefourth.co.nz. It is best to order in late pregnancy, so your freezer is already well stocked when baby arrives.

I am very pleased to say that all my clients who purchase a package that includes postpartum support will be receiving Feeding The Fourth meals as the main meal at their postpartum visit. You will get to select the meals that you would like in an earlier antenatal session, and I will bring along your chosen meal to nourish you in the fourth trimester.

“Feeding the Fourth was created to provide essential nutritional support for women and their families as they navigate one of the greatest shifts in life. Founders and mothers Courtney and Sarah first met whilst studying at the Naturopathic College; it was here that they uncovered a shared passion for ancestral foods and the importance of nourishment during pregnancy and postpartum.

We believe nutrition is the catalyst to support overall health. Our mission is to provide optimal nourishment to women in their fourth trimester, a period where this is often re-prioritized.”

Our offering is an investment into the postpartum mother's well-being; created to enable women to prioritise rest and time navigating their new role without sacrificing essential nutritional support.

Our meals have been created in alignment with the four pillars of postpartum nourishment; warming, nutrient-dense, soft and easily digestible.

Each of our ingredients has been carefully considered to support postpartum healing. Organic bone broth provides the nutritional foundation for our meals, offering a range of fat-soluble vitamins, minerals, amino acids and the most abundant protein in our body; collagen.

We use organic meats, grains and legumes alongside fresh produce, herbs and spices to create our delicious and restorative meals.

We utilise traditional food preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and slow-cooking to harness the available nutrition in each of our ingredients.”
